Element Designs Expands Glass Fabrication Capabilities

Element Designs Builds on Glass Expertise with Expanded Fabrication Capabilities

Element Designs began in-house glass fabrication in January 2025 as part of a strategic investment to expand its manufacturing capabilities, increase control over quality and lead times, and better serve customers across the cabinetry, closet, architectural, commercial and design industries. With the continued addition of state-of-the-art Italian glass fabrication equipment, the company is now fully equipped to support a broad range of fabricated glass requirements.

The expanded operation includes advanced CNC glass processing equipment and specialized machinery for precision cutting, edging, drilling, notching and other custom fabrication processes. Combined with Element Designs’ existing glass expertise and manufacturing infrastructure, the investment enables the company to provide highly customized fabricated glass solutions with consistent quality, accuracy and repeatability.

“Glass has always been an integral part of what we do at Element Designs,” said Mike Uebersax, CEO. “Bringing fabrication in-house was a natural evolution for our business. Over the past year and a half, we have continued to invest in the equipment, technology and expertise needed to build a truly comprehensive glass fabrication operation. We are now positioned to serve not only our existing aluminum frame door customers, but customers looking for a reliable domestic source for fabricated glass.”

“Bringing fabrication in-house was a natural evolution for our business. Over the past year and a half, we have continued to invest in the equipment, technology and expertise needed to build a truly comprehensive glass fabrication operation."

Element Designs currently processes more than 265,000 square feet of glass annually and offers an extensive selection of decorative and functional glass products, including clear and satin glass, low-iron glass, mirrors, reflective glass, reeded and textured glass, backpainted glass and writable glass surfaces.

The expanded fabrication capabilities allow customers to source glass-only components as well as complete fabricated solutions, providing greater flexibility for cabinet manufacturers, closet companies, architectural millwork firms, commercial fabricators, designers and other partners.

The investment also complements Element Designs’ vertically integrated manufacturing model. By bringing more processes under one roof, the company can maintain greater control over production, quality and scheduling while reducing dependence on outside fabrication resources.

“This investment is about giving our customers more possibilities,” said Mike Uebersax. “Whether they need glass as part of an Element Designs aluminum frame door or a custom fabricated glass component for their own product or project, we now have the equipment and expertise to help them create it.”

Element Designs’ glass fabrication operation is located at its U.S. manufacturing headquarters in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and is currently accepting inquiries for new fabrication business.
